(More Naruto spoilers.)
I'll most likely be ranting about Naruto for the rest of the week, so I suggest everyone steer clear of this page.
says: Why are you encouraging them not to read? That makes no sense whatsoever.

I finished reading an excellent, though very long, Naruto fanfic called >>Naruto Primer<<. I suggest all Naruto fans read it, though new fans probably should wait until finishing the Chuunin Exam Arc until reading it.
*I'm getting off track, but if you only have time to read one chapter, then read chapter 85. The whole chapter is one, big hidden metaphor. I racked my brain trying to understand it, but to no avail. You have to seriously look underneath the underneath to solve it. :P The authors explain the metaphor in chapter 100.
During the last 15 or so chapters, the story shifted to the author's version of the future of the Konoha genins & Shikamaru. In Ino's chapter, she eventually marries Sasuke and they have several children. Being more of a SasuSaku fan, I did not like this. At all. But it got me thinking, "Who would be the best for Sasuke?"
The main reason I dislike Sasuke x Ino (I don't know the shortened nickname. SasuIno?) is because I don't see any real chemistry between the two. They have no reason for being interested in each other. At least in Naruto Primer, the authors made it so Sasuke and Ino have some history with each other. But in the real Naruto, there's nothing. I don't even remember Sasuke and Ino having a real conversation with each other so far in the entire anime. Not one measly conversation.
While SasuNaru IS an interesting couple, and it's obvious that the two boys do care about each other in some way, I doubt it's ever going to really happen so, moving on...
I've been finding myself very interested in Sasuke x Itachi (SasuIta? Eh, I'll just stick with Uchihacest. :P) lately. I also admit that this will most likely never happen, but I feel the strong desire to reflect a bit more on this one. There are two reasons why this couple will never, ever be canon. One, Kishimoto-san won't go that way. Two, if by some miracle they do fall in love, it will be a tragic love at best. Think about it. Right now, Sasuke is too blinded by rage to think of anything but killing his brother. Maybe after he kills Itachi, he'll realize the mistake he made and how much he loves his brother, incestual love or not. Let's say that Itachi somehow survives Sasuke's attack. They will never be one, big happy family. They will always be uncomfortable with each other. I'm sure Sasuke will always have some resentment for his brother and that certainly will not create a healthy relationship. Besides, the Uchiha clan will die off if they fall in love. :3
Which brings me to SasuSaku... (The other couples aren't worthy of my attention. ;;>o>) While Sakura can get quite annoying, I learned to respect her as the story went on. I believe, in the beginning, she only loved Sasuke for superficial purposes. She might have even fallen in love with Sasuke only because Ino and the rest of the girls were. But when they became teammates, I believe the whole team began to truly care about each other. Sasuke obviously cares about Sakura, or he wouldn't have saved her numerous times nor would he have restrained the cursed seal. I believe this pairing has a lot of potential, but there are a few factors that keep this pairing from being perfect.
First, Sakura must stop idolizing Sasuke. You can't fall in love with someone you treat as your idol nor will they return the feelings. It's far too uncomfortable. Sakura will never learn to be herself around Sasuke if their relationship stays the way it is. Inner Sakura will always lay dormant inside her. As for Sasuke, he needs to get over his obsession with revenge and power, for obvious reasons.
One of the good things about the fanfic I mentioned earlier was that everyone had a happy ending, (Except Itachi, but hey.) even if I didn't agree with all of them.
Most of the time, I enjoy sad endings. Sad endings usually have the most impact on the audience. Nowadays, many happy endings are too corny and predictable, so they have lost their charm. But there are the few times when I grow to love the characters so much, that I wish with all my heart for a happy ending. It would be far too tragic if the characters I've grown to know and love were miserable at the end.
Sasuke is one of those rare characters and I hope that he will have a happy ending, along with all the other characters I've grown to love in Naruto.
Though I may have made it seem that Sasuke will never be truly happy, I believe that Sasuke can find true happiness someday. IF Sasuke never changes, then yes, he is forever doomed to be the miserable, angsty boy he is, but that is highly highly unlikely. Remember, many characters in Naruto were perfectly normal children, until they went through various traumatizing events. It's very possible that their trauma will eventually be healed. They're all young. They have plenty of time to change.
Though I'm sure many people think, "No matter what happens, there will be no happy ending for Uchiha Itachi."
Well, if you think of it differently, even Itachi can die in peace. Quoted from a poem/song, which was changed to fit Itachi's POV:
"Hey little brother I find it kind of sad These dreams in which I’m dying Are the best I’ve ever had"
~Silent Angel
says: That was somewhat enlightening. But, I won't even comment on your opinions of Itachi and me... Sicko..
